The History of KTU

Kingdom Truth University (KTU) is established as a 501 C (3) Non-profit Corporation under Florida State laws with the expectation of rapid expansion in Christian education. It is an institution of higher learning, which is recognized by the Florida Department of Higher Education under Religious Education. Kingdom Truth University’s mission confirms and commits the institution to promote access to education for all learners and to achieve excellence in teaching, in research and scholarship and in service to the community. The student experience is the university’s focus. The university’s exceptional growth, in terms of enrollment, of number of courses and programs offered, and development and promotion of student services, is a testament of its dedication to this mission and its success in achieving it.

Kingdom Truth University was formerly known as Truth International University, which was a division of Pillars of Truth International and Kingdom Impact Global Ministries. However, in February 2015, the Board of Trustees, incorporated Kingdom Truth University as a separate entity in the state of Florida. Later that month, February 2015, the university was accredited by Transworld Accrediting Commission International. Three years later, in January 2018, the university got approval for Veterans training in the State of Florida. This approval guarantees funding to all qualifying Veterans and their dependents, who attend KTU. In May 2016, the university had its inaugural Commencement ceremony, with 68 graduates ranging from certificate to doctorate degrees.

Kingdom Truth University currently has a Board of Trustees and a Board of Directors, who manage the affairs of the University and ensure checks and balances. Next is the President, Dr. C. R. Smith-Mobley, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the University and Chief Administrative Officer to the Institution. She acts as the responsible agent for total operations, while providing direction within policies and procedures and governs by the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors. There are four Provosts at four different campuses, along with about 16 instructors, all of whom are part-time.

As an independent, nondenominational institution of higher learning, KTU is providing undergraduate and graduate education which prepare individuals to live and serve in the church, community, and the world according to a biblical worldview. At Kingdom Truth University, the educational philosophy is guided by the non-denominational Statement of Faith, which is embraced by all faculty and staff. The Best Experience Ever

I started my journey at Kingdom Truth University when the doors first opened. I planned to be a part of the inauguration class. However, God had other plans for me. I had reached that point in my life that made me hungry and thirsty to know more about God. I didn't want to live any longer knowing church but not God. Yes, I among others, were born and raised in the church. Able to quote scriptures while stepping in my Sunday best. But I couldn't honestly say that I knew God for myself and that I was able to recognize his voice which is what I long for. I didn't make the inaugural graduation due to the toxic situations I was facing at the time. Also, my lack of time-management skills didn't make things easier for me. During the time I was separated from KTU I felt horrible about it. I knew that I was out of place and my financial status was holding me back. After a year of separation, God blessed me financially with the opportunity to continue my journey. Since then I have become in tune with the women God has called me to be. I have built a "REAL" relationship with him for myself that's not based on religion but instead understanding his kingdom. I have improved as a daughter, mother, sister, worker, business owner, and leader. I earned my Associate Degree in Theological Studies from KTU in 2019. Every day I walk in my purpose knowing that this is my reason "WHY" he called me. This is just the beginning I haven't seen 95% of what God is going to do in me and through me. Thank you, God, for directing me and connecting to KTU. Also, I want to thank all of the KTU family. God has made a change in me and because of that Everything and Everyone attached to me will WIN...
